About
I am a scientific researcher at National Institute for Lasers, Plasma and Radiation Physics, in Romania. I am a part of the Advanced Technologies in Thin Films group, Laser Department. The main part of my research work is focused on the fundamentals of plasma diagnostics coupled in the framework of laser-matter interactions and expanded towards understanding and controlling pulsed laser deposition. Parallel to the experimental work I am one of the main developers of multifractal hydrodynamic model implemented for complex transient phenomena analysis.
These results are published over 65 papers published in ISI ranked journals. This translates into a Hirsh index as follows: web of Science (17), Google Scholar (17). The work was well received by the community and received over 14 awards along the year, such as Young Researcher Award, at EMRS Spring Meeting (2021)and the Ilie Bursuc Prize for best communication by a young researcher at ICPAM (2021) or Best original work presented by a Young Scientist prize at International Conference on Advanced Materials 7-14 September 2016, Cluj , Romania, 2nd place in the Best Poster competition at International Conference of Photoexcited Processes and Applications (2016), Romania and Best Poster Prize at EMRS Spring Meeting (2016.)
I was awarded 3 National Research Grants in 2024 by UEFISCDI a bilateral project in collaboration with Moldova State University, 2020 by UEFISCDI (Development of Synchronous Optical and Electrical Techniques for Real-time, in situ Monitoring of Pulsed Laser Deposition Process) and in 2021 by AOSR (Understanding the limitation of Langmuir probe method for pulsed laser deposition motorization) and two International Grants Nato SPS G6153 (Stealth coatings based on 3D architectures of high entropy materials) and MSCA postdoctoral Fellow, at Physics Institute of Czech Academy of Science , CZ.02.01.01/00/22_010/0008124
